Brand New Monday-Share A Coke With…

In an effort to excite their core customer, create interest in their brand and drive value and volume for Coca-Cola, the Share a Coke campaign will tour the UK offering an on-site printing service through kiosks and vending machines with a free personalized bottle of Coca-Cola, Coke Zero or Diet Coke. The tour will visit 70 locations, including theme parks, cinemas and retail stores over the summer.
Coke claims more than 120,000 tweets have already been sent about the personalized bottles as consumers share images. Jon Woods, general manager for Coca-Cola Great Britain and Ireland, says: “This summer’s Share a Coke campaign sparked the nation’s imagination. We’ve already seen thousands of people engaging with it; sharing their bottles online or tweeting their excitement when they find a bottle with the name of a friend or loved one on it. We are delighted to be able to now take this campaign on the road so that everyone can have the opportunity to create a personalized bottle of Coke with their best friend or family member’s name on it.”
Similarly, Coca-Cola introduced a can that split into two mini cans allowing individuals to share with a friend. A campaign video states that the sharable split can is: proof that happiness doubles when you share it. “The idea of this new Coke Social Can is extremely innovative and it’s something people would actually use,” Maas says. “It’s a brilliant advertisement that really fits the brand. Even if Coke isn’t confirming it will be a real product, I’m predicting the company will begin to market and distribute this can. It would be a waste of an original idea if they didn’t. Are these creative advertising techniques generating interest, discussion, and demand for Coca-Cola? Let us know and as always stay #TopRight.
